CBM Prayer Walk – Prayer Guide – 2023
Overarching Requests
- • God’s protection and provision for all CBM families.
- • Restoration and salvation for Israel.
- • Revival and salvation in the Jewish community of Greater Houston.
- • Healing for all the afflicted in our CBM community (even miracles).
- • Restoration of marriages and other familial relationships.
- • Unity of the spirit and the bond of peace throughout our CBM leadership & families.
- • Strength in our leadership team as we navigate all the challenges of modern-day America, including life in a pandemic and healing of our politically divided country.
- • Strength, shalom, and provision for our supported ministry families living in Israel.
Worship Team
- • Psalm 92:10 “We shall be anointed with fresh oil.” God to pour His anointing over us for this new year.
- • God to add the people that He wants for the worship team.
- • A unique CBM sound, that will lead to a CBM worship album. Fresh music from heaven.
- • Unity within the worship teams and encouragement for Agustin and Miranda.
Choir
- • For God to keep adding those that are to be part.
- • Unity and God’s anointing over the choir.
- • Blessing over them for hard work.
Production Team and Sound
- • Unity, to be in the same Ruach.
- • For us to be able to connect the people at their houses with the Presence of the Lord.
- • For internet and all the equipment to work in perfect condition every Shabbat.
- • For God to add those who are to be part of this team.
Children’s Ministry
- • Continued wisdom on how to effectively minister the word of G-d to the next generation in love and truth.
- • Prayer for our faithful Nursery Staff & their families.
- • Volunteers who have a heart for Children’s Ministry – Hebrew and Shabbat School.
- • Prayer for our faithful Children’s Ministry Volunteers – Hebrew and Shabbat School.
Bnei Mitzvah
- • Pray for Rabbi White and our young people to experience Adonai’s call on their lives as they prepare for their Bar/Bat Mitzvah.
Youth
- • Pray for our Youth Team Volunteers
- • The youth will remain firm in the Word of God.
- • Live their faith out in a way that speaks louder than their actual words.
- • Their minds will be renewed around a Biblical worldview (Romans 12:2) rather than what the world is trying to fill it with.
Dance Ministry
- • For the members of the dance ministry to remain committed to their First Love – the Lord and that we would worship Him in truth!
- • That the Lord would raise up more leaders in the dance ministry.
- • That the Lord would draw in the people that he wants to be in dance ministry.
- • That He would help us to better serve everyone in our congregation who desires to worship Him in dance.
- • That we would be in unity with the Worship Team.
- • Help us connect with the greater Jewish community through friendships and Israeli Folk Dance events.
- • Help us prepare for Passover and the other Moedim with all details such as scheduling, dance space, etc.
- • Prayer for Teaching videos to assist members of CBM with Messianic Dance as well as others outside of the congregation.
- • Prayer for Marisa and the dance leadership to be anointed and remain in unity.
Rabbis/Pastoral Care
- • Chavurah: Pray for continued fellowship and an outpouring of the Ruach in our homes.
- • Moedim Outreach: Pray for Passover plans and outreach to the Jewish community through Moedim celebrations.
- • Greeters Ministry: Pray for Shannon Prator and her team and for divine appointments with our visitors.
- • Information Center Ministry: Pray for Rick and Sandy Scott and their team as they show our visitors the opportunities and ministries available to them here at CBM.
- • Ushers Ministry: Pray for John Stafford and his team as they assist in seating.
- • Mitzvah Ministry: Pray for Ralph and Doris Leal and their team as they minister to Houston’s homeless. Pray for salvations, healings, and restorations in lives.
- • Married Ministry: Pray for Jesse and Misty Post and strength in our marriages and meaningful ways to connect as couples.
- • Kitchen Ministry: Pray for Ron and Caroline Fitzwater and the ministry of nosh and fellowship. Pray for more volunteers.
- • Coffee Ministry: Pray for Bob and Linda Serr as they lead the ministry and pray for more volunteers.
- • Adult education: Pray for Adonai’s direction as we plan to open more classes.
- • Foundation course: Pray for divine connections for new members to kesher and become connected to our CBM community.
- • Anshei Chayil: Pray for men to be men of righteousness and direction for Ray Fisher as we plan more events this year and work alongside a local prison ministry.
- • Sisterhood: Pray for our Sisterhood to be women of virtue and for continued kesher for our ladies of the synagogue.
- • Prison Ministry: Pray for Patrick Dickenson and team as they witness and speak life into those that are incarcerated.
- • Singles: Caroline Jackson and dynamic ministry to our CBM singles.
- • Messianic Mommies: Miranda Wainberg and the ministry opportunities with our moms. Please pray a prayer of blessing and thanksgiving for our moms who are all in different stages of motherhood.
- • Bimah Ministry teams: Jesse Post & Peter Worman as they lead us weekly in liturgy.
- • Leadership: Rabbi John, Jesse, Donald, Agustin and our Shameshim as they lead.
- • CBM Staff: Christine Gomez, Julia Tsai and Melanie Stafford as they do the daily work of ministry at the office.
