Back to the Basics: Sharing

John 6:35; Psalm 107:2; Psalm 96:2–3; Matthew 10:32–33

How to Talk to Your Friends About Your Faith

1. Be a practical witness

Matthew 5:13–16

  • Shine… let ’em wonder what ya got!
  • Goodness and kindness are the evidence of a changed life

2. Pray for the lost &  those friends/family who do not know Yeshua…then put actions to those prayers!

  • A. Write down your story (testimony)
  • B. Have a friend or mentor help share with you
  • C. Invite your friend to a service or event
  • Remember that you are planting a seed, not an entire tree!

1 Corinthians 3:6; Colossians 4:5–6

3. Be Ready any time… in any season to share

1 Peter 3:15

Prepare Your Testimony

  • 1st minute – life before Messiah
  • 2nd minute – how you came to Messiah
  • 3rd Minute plus –  life change after Yeshua

4. Be persuasive but remain humble, recognizing when you do not know the answers to questions.

1 Peter 3:15–16

But when someone comes to that point and has a crisis of belief, with humility and reverence, be ready to share.
