Day 13

Scripture

Words kill, words give life; they’re either poison or fruit—you choose. – Proverbs 18:21

Heart Thoughts

Have you ever wanted to experience the abundant life the Messiah promised? Do you ever feel like you get glimpses of it, small tastes of it but it is never a full picture or a large gulp? I can tell you from experience the reason why many believers do not experience abundant life is because they don’t understand the true power of their words. Most believers don’t understand that life follows the direction your words point you in.

You may want to be a success but if you are saying to yourself, “I don’t have creative ideas. I am not talented. I am not equipped. I am not smart enough.” You may want success but your words are pointing you in a direction that is polar south of where you are trying to get towards. Current findings in neuroscience has confirmed what the Scriptures have been saying for thousands of years: what you say shapes your perception of yourself and perception of your future you.

Time and time again the Scriptures tell us, and current neurological research agrees that are words are the greatest major issue regarding your future vision, dreams and plans. Why not water your life with words that produce an abundant fruit. Every morning I get up and declare a set of 25 statements over my life and my wife and then another set of 25 over each of my children and our congregation. You will not believe me until you try it but I have seen God change everything because of the power of my words.

What is stopping you? Don’t let anything stop you today from declare in faith all of God’s blessings for you, your family, your friends and your synagogue.

Bracha

May the Lord God of Israel give you life giving words. May you make every day an opportunity to use your words to encourage yourself and others.
