A man who has friends must himself be friendly.
— Proverbs 18:24
You can make more friends in two months by becoming interested in other people than you can in two years by trying to get other people interested in you
— Dale Carnegie

"I have learned much from my teachers," a Jewish sage once said, "but even more from my study companions."  On the first Wednesday of every month from 6:30-8:30pm, Rabbi Freeman directs the men of our congregation in a time of reflection on the text of the Scriptures. After inspiring them to think afresh about being an Anshei Chayil (Heb. Man of Valor), the men get together in groups and encourage, support, and challenge one another to live an upright life before the Lord, our families, our employers/employees, and friends. It is during these group times that men have forged lifelong friendships that have helped them to celebrate the great moments of life, grieve heartbreaking losses, and find strength to be a positive role model wherever they may find themselves.
